Carmel Wine Walk
Monterey County is known for excellent wines...
Within the past few years, many wine tasting rooms have opened in our village providing great opportunities for locals (as well as visitors) to enjoy the fruits of our region. If you were to do a wine tasting, you would spend an average of $10 per tasting. The Carmel Chamber of Commerce and Carmel Wine Walk by-the-Sea have joined together to form a great way to introduce you to our wines. It is called the Wine Walk Passport and sells at the Carmel Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center for $100 per passport. The great thing about the Wine Walk Passport is that it has no expiration! If you don't use all the tastings on your visit, you can then use the remainder on your next visit to Carmel, or give it to a friend! You may also "share" the passport however the pours do not change with two people sharing the passport. All the wine tasting rooms on the Wine Walk Passport are within walking distance of our inn!
The wine tasting rooms currently participating in the Carmel Wine Walk by-the-Sea are: Blair, Caraccioli, Dawn’s Dream, De Tierra, Galante, Holman Ranch, Manzoni, Scheid, Scratch, Shale Canyon, Silvestri, Windy Oaks, & Wrath.
As an added bonus to the Wine Walk, the following restaurants waive any corkage fee for bottles of wine purchased at any participating wine tasting room.
Andres Bouchee * Basil Seasonal Dining * Big Sur Lodge
* Big Sur River Inn * Cantinetta Luca * Carmel Belle
Le St Tropez * Little Napoli * Rio Grill
Treehouse Cafe * Vesuvio * Village Corner
The Carmel Wine Walk by-the-Sea may be purchased once you have arrived at the inn or in advance. Just let us know when making your reservation. It's a fun way to explore Carmel!
